Tim (Tingxi) Guo is a Senior Scientist on the in vivo engineering team at GentiBio, where he helps to develop novel technologies in advancing T cell-based therapies, with a particular focus on allogeneic platforms. Prior to joining GentiBio, Tim was a postdoctoral fellow at the MIT Synthetic Biology Center. There, he worked on synthetic promoters to control gene expression in the context of engineered T cells and developed antigen-inducible promoter systems for CAR-directed payload delivery. During his PhD at the University of Toronto, Tim investigated the structural-functional relationships of receptor-antigen interactions for TCRs and CARs, and the application of gene-edited T cells in an allogeneic setting. Outside of the lab, Tim enjoys experimenting in his home kitchen and following the English Premier League
