Pramod is a Principal Scientist in Genti’s Platform Technologies group. Pramod has extensive experience in developing tools and technologies for the genetic manipulation of various host-microbes including AAV, lentivirus, pathogenic bacteria and other eukaryotic systems such as parasites, filamentous fungi and human cells. Prior to joining Genti, Pramod worked at Shire/Takeda and at Xyleco Inc., where he utilized genetic engineering, AAV & lentiviral vector developmental tools to enable gene therapy and protein production platforms. Pramod received his Ph.D. in Medical Molecular Biology from Umea University, Sweden for his studies on virulence gene regulation and host-pathogen interactions and did his post-doctoral training in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at the University of Vermont on the role of T. gondii motor complex post-transcriptional modifications on parasite motility. When not in the lab, he enjoys spending time with family, playing cricket and chess.
